Consumers are increasingly interested in the quality of food and in the circumstances of its production. For this reason, a growing amount of food is produced and processed according to organic standards, such as: high product quality, sound use of natural and human resources, conservation of biodiversity, and the implementation of sustainable production systems without synthetic pesticides and fertilizers.
As the market for organic products is growing on a world wide scale, there is a need for experts who can provide knowledge of organic agriculture and the related food systems.
Within this programme the students have the choice to either do a single degree or to obtain a double degree.
